At Gap Inc., our internship program is more than just an opportunity to gain experience – it’s your chance to make a lasting impact from day one. Over the course of our ten-week program, you’ll work on meaningful projects, collaborate with industry leaders, and immerse yourself in our dynamic, global retail environment. Whether you’re passionate about fashion, finance, technology, or creative design, our diverse functions offer a space for you to explore your interests, build your skills, and contribute to the success of one of the world’s leading retail companies. Our summer internship program is open to  students in their Junior academic year graduating in December 2025 and Spring 2026.

Our Hiring Process & Timeline

  3. Resume screen by Early Talent Recruiting team
  4. 1st Round virtual behavior-based interview (30 minutes)
  5. 2nd Round virtual project-based interview (1 hour)*

Drive product strategy and assortment planning by analyzing trends, customer insights, and sales performance to ensure the right products reach our customers.

Design

Work with creative teams to design apparel and accessories, developing seasonal collections that reflect Gap Inc.’s brand identity and market trends.

Technical Design

Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure the fit, quality, and functionality of our products, bridging the gap between design and manufacturing.

Creative

Develop innovative and visually compelling content that resonates with our customers, supporting branding, marketing campaigns, and product presentations.

Marketing

Create and execute marketing strategies that connect with our customers, driving brand awareness and engagement through various channels, including digital and print.

Site Merchandising

Enhance the online shopping experience by optimizing product presentation, navigation, and overall customer experience across Gap Inc.’s e-commerce platforms.

Online Experience

Improve customer interaction with Gap Inc.’s digital platforms by creating intuitive, seamless, and engaging online experiences.

Inventory Management:

Ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time by analyzing demand, supply chain processes, and inventory levels to optimize product flow.

Finance

Provide financial analysis and insights that drive business decisions and strategic initiatives, helping to maintain financial health and profitability across the organization.

DC Engineering

Support distribution center operations through process improvements and technical innovations, ensuring efficient product movement from warehouse to stores.

Human Resources

Work with teams to support employee development, talent acquisition, and engagement strategies that foster a productive and inclusive workplace.

Asset Protection Operations

Help safeguard our products, stores, and customers by developing strategies to reduce shrink and prevent loss across all levels of the business.

Asset Protection Security Intelligence

Analyze data and identify trends to strengthen security measures and mitigate risks, helping protect Gap Inc.’s assets and ensuring a safe shopping environment.
