Gap and Sean Wotherspoon, Gap’s Global Vintage Curator, unveil their expanded partnership, putting Gap’s iconic product archive directly in the hands of customers around the world. GapVintage, globally sourced curations by Wotherspoon, will be available beginning February 4, 2025.

The GapVintage program showcases Gap’s commitment to fostering the brand’s extensive archive that houses American classics since 1969. The program will release a series of yearlong vintage drops with the designer and artist and feature a curated selection of seasonal themed pieces throughout the year.

The first drop will highlight some of Sean’s favorite pieces to date with an assortment of recovered Gap pieces dating back from the ’80s, ’90s and 2000s, authenticated and hand-sourced from Sean’s travels. From beloved Gap essentials such as the ’90s Striped Pocket T-Shirt ($55) and ’90s Classic Logo Hoodie ($85), as well as rare exclusives like the ’80s Denim Jacket Hoodie ($90) and ’90s Nylon Anorak Zip-Up Windbreaker ($90), this collection showcases the brand’s history of quality craftsmanship and design. Retail price range will vary.

"I’m excited to see Gap take curated control over the supply of its vintage product and renew this program in an even bigger way since we pioneered it almost two years ago," said Sean Wotherspoon, Gap Global Vintage Curator. “As the vintage and secondhand market continues to grow and resonate among younger generations, I’m looking forward to bringing GapVintage to the hands of today’s youth around the world."

The first drop of GapVintage will be available in the U.S. starting Tuesday, February 4, at 12 p.m ET / 9 a.m. PT on gap.com, with an exclusive drop at our Flatiron Store in New York. In Japan, the collection will be available in select store pop-ups in Shinjuku, Tokyo, on February 1 and Osaka on February 8.
