Before we bid farewell to 2019, we celebrated the holidays with our Old Navy fam at HQ in San Francisco’s Mission Bay by hosting an employee bake-off. There were all sorts of treats, from cookies to cakes to pies — but there could only be one winner! Paula Chan, Digital Production Artist, took home first prize for her Chocolate Ganache Salted Caramel Pretzel Tart. If you tried it, you know why. In fact, it was so good that Chef Bill worked with Paula to recreate her recipe for the Mission Bay Café this week!

In addition to Paula’s day job and her superb baking skills, she’s also a Community Leader and an avid participant of classes offered through our TLC @ MB wellness program. Paula is a walking example of what it means to squeeze more fun out of life together, every day, here at Old Navy!

BIGGEST GOAL FOR 2020: Within Old Navy: Continuing to grow and adapt to the ever-changing needs of the company by developing and implementing new processes to streamline my team’s workflow. Outside Old Navy: Ice climbing in Yosemite!

BEST CAREER ADVICE: Don’t be afraid to try something new, whether it’s a totally different job or the same position in a different division. The point is to gain new perspectives with new experiences. There’s always more than one way to do things.

WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT BEING A COMMUNITY LEADER: Coming up with creative ways to rally the troops to do good for the community!
