About the Role

The Director, Business Analytics for Franchise and Wholesale will be the lead for Gap Inc Franchise wholesale pricing. This individual will be a strong, trusted partner and advisor to the Franchise leadership team to develop and support long term Franchise strategies and financial growth.

This person will lead a small team and own execution for pricing and reporting, maximizing Gap’s earning potential through intimate understanding of franchise performance. Provides business cases and clear recommendations on strategic and operational decisions.

The position will be based in NY HQ and will be part of the Gap Inc Franchise Business Development and Strategy team, partnering with Gap Inc Brands and the cross-functional and cross-Brand Franchise organization.

What You'll Do

  • Lead core financial processes for sales and margin including long range planning, annual budgets, monthly forecasts and close.  Lead preparation and present Quarterly Business Reviews to brands executive management
  • Ensure execution of franchisor and franchisee gross margin through setting of seasonal wholesale prices
  • Manage robust financial controls across the P&L that support growth in a rapidly changing environment
  • Lead all financial modelling, key business metric reporting and support Franchise leadership with all new country expansion and existing country real estate decisions
  • Lead overall business analysis to recommend wholesale strategies.
  • Run Franchise budget process for retail sales, wholesale revenue and margin.
  • Lead the Annual Business Plan process and engage with partners to understand 3 year plans in close partnership with Account Management and Planning
  • Review Franchise partner business plans and conduct financial performance reviews as necessary
  • Partner with merchandising, marketing, partner support and AMP on in-season performance using KPIs to drive wholesale initiatives
  • Perform a variety of business analysis and ad hoc analytical support as needed including implicatins of supply chain or production initiatives
  • Partner with logistics finance team to understand seasonal supply chain cost structure for franchise pricing
  • Support executive level presentations

Who You Are

  • Seasoned international business experience including in-depth financial and planning or inventory management experience with total finance accountability for a business. Logistics experience a plus
  • Experienced negotiation skills working with senior leaders to analyze, problem solve and recommend successful solutions that are strong financially and mutually beneficial
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to an ambiguous, fast paced environment
  • Ability to influence across the organization and to become a pro-active, trusted advisor
  • Ability to assess talent and manage, motivate and develop others, including leaders of others, to higher levels of performance
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills; ability to communicate complex information in an executive format and use data to tell a compelling story
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; can see a problem from multiple angles and provide viable, innovative options for resolution
  • International travel may be required
     

Minimum educational level:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA or CPA preferred

Minimum experience:

  • Minimum 10-15 years experience, with breadth across accounting, planning and commercial finance positions
  • Experience working as the Finance lead within senior leadership team.  Retail Franchise or Wholesale experience, including negotiation experience with retail partners preferred

Salary Range: $170,900 - $226,400 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
