Gap Inc. Ranks in Top 5 by Thomson Reuters Diversity and Inclusion Index

Gap Inc. has been named one of the world's most diverse and inclusive companies for the second consecutive year. In its third annual Thomson Reuters Global Diversity and Inclusion Index (D&I), which scores companies using environmental, social, and governance metrics, Gap Inc. is ranked five out of 7,000 international corporations.

From championing gender equality and equal pay, expanding diverse hiring programs like This Way Ahead, and promoting equal rights and fair treatment around the world, Gap Inc. believes diversity, inclusion and opportunity are key to retaining talent, driving growth, and attracting new customers.

Building on this news, last week the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) announced Gap Inc. as the western regional winner of its 2018 Employer of Choice Award. Presented to corporate legal departments that have made meaningful commitments to creating more inclusive workplaces, Gap Inc. will be honored at MCCA’s Diversity Gala in October for efforts to incorporate diversity practices across its talent attraction and development efforts.
