In recognition of World Mental Health Day, Gap Inc. is amplifying the company’s mental well-being offerings, including the new highly-competitive Mental Health Benefit and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) launched earlier this year to all full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees and their families in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Having more than doubled the previous offering, the company provides twelve free mental health sessions offered to employees and each family member in the home, regardless of whether they are on our medical plan.
“Our teams are hard at work to deliver incredible product and experiences for our customers, whether it’s in our stores, distribution centers, call centers or offices around the world,” said Peter Pawlick, Head of Total Rewards. “Following the pandemic, which had a negative impact on the mental health of so many, we invested in a comprehensive mental health benefit and employee assistance program, more than doubling the number of free mental health sessions offered and providing market-leading accessibility to all U.S. employees and their families.”
Employees can now access:
- Twelve free sessions with top therapists or mental health coaches per person, per year.
- Medication management support.
- Support from work-life experts to manage your busy life and find balance through legal, financial, identity theft, and dependent care services.
- A library of online tools, including guided meditations, videos, and articles about self-care.
Gap Inc. also expanded access to additional valuable well-being programs to our part-time team members including additional insurance options outside of medical insurance, family planning resources, GapShare 401(k) and digital financial coaching.
