Learning and Development

At Gap Inc., learning is a priority — and fundamental to our success. Our training and development programs extend to all employees, in all locations. In order to attract, develop and retain great people, we make available a wide array of classes and tools for individuals and teams through our Learning and Development department — from classroom sessions and online resources to on-the-job coaching and in-store experiences.

Gap Inc. Welcome Program

Through hands-on activities and in-store experiences, our Welcome Program introduces new employees to our culture, our customers, our brands, and our policies and procedures.

Professional Development

Through a range of classes, resources and opportunities, our professional development offerings guide employees in managing their career growth. Employees may choose to strengthen their technical and computer knowledge, improve their public-speaking ability or develop job-specific skills through programs such as the Planning and Distribution Program.

Leadership

Our leadership courses are designed to create consistent leadership qualities and practices across our different work settings, locations and environments. We encourage our leaders to think differently in order to lead, motivate and inspire their teams and to take responsibility for the success of our organization.

Gap Inc. employees can be reimbursed up to $5,000 per year for approved, job-related academic courses.
