John Ermatinger is President, Japan, for Gap Inc.'s International division.
In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of product development and
retail operations in Japan for Gap and Banana Republic brands, as well as
exploring new opportunities for growth in Japan.
Prior to joining Gap Inc. in August 2006, Ermatinger worked at Nike
International where he was General Manager of Asia Pacific Apparel, overseeing
product design, development and sales for sixteen countries, including Japan.
Prior to Nike, he spent 26 years at Levi’s, serving various leadership
positions varying from sourcing to merchandising as well as President of the
company’s $3 billion Americas division that included the U.S., Canada, Mexico,
and South America.
He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and economics from
Linfield College, Oregon.
