Jack Calhoun is President of Banana Republic, a division of Gap Inc.
In this capacity, Jack oversees all aspects of running a $2.5 billion global
business, including all brand, product and employee experiences for over 570
stores in North America.
Before taking on the role of President, Jack was EVP of Merchandising and
Marketing at Banana Republic. Along with his responsibilities for all aspects
of merchandising and marketing, he was instrumental in developing the brand's
growth strategies, and he successfully led growth initiatives including
launching a new elevated handbag line and a new personal care suite of
fragrances and ancillary products.
Jack joined Gap Inc. in 2003, coming from Charles Schwab & Co., where he
was EVP Brand Management and Advertising. Prior to that, he spent six years
leading teams at Foote, Cone & Belding and Young & Rubicam, where he
served as General Manager of the San Francisco office. He also held marketing
positions at Levi Strauss & Company and The Procter & Gamble
Company.
Jack attended Indiana University School of Music, received a B.S. from
Purdue University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Jack currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Mitchell Gold
furniture company and served for five years on the national not-for-profit
Board of Directors of GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation).
